Man United may need Marcus Rashford to fill a different position

It’s possible that Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag may have to try Marcus Rashford out in a new position in the coming weeks in order to bring out his full potential.

Goals were hard to come by for Manchester United most of the season, and they frequently hoped that Marcus Rashford would step up.

Rashford became the first United player in a decade to steal 30 goals in a single season after a disappointing 2021/22 campaign in which he scored a meager five times. He was one of the world’s top players at his peak during United’s renaissance under Erik ten Hag.

Rashford has made seven appearances so far this season, but both he and United are still getting warmed up. After scoring once in his first seven games, he has gone scoreless in his past three.

Rashford was moved to the left flank for the matches against Nottingham Forest and Arsenal after beginning the first two games of the Premier League season as a true center striker. He recorded two points in those two games, proving once again that he is most effective while cutting in from the side.
