The Manchester United winger returned to the UK this week and might be ready for selection in Tuesday’s Champions League match against Galatasaray.
Antony’s ex-girlfriend has made a new remark following the winger’s recent recall to the Manchester United roster.
An accusation of “physical and psychological violence” by Gabriella Cavallin against Antony. The 23-year-old says he is innocent and has agreed to meet with Greater Manchester Police this week for questioning.
United said first thing on Friday morning that the winger will rejoin the team once he returned to the UK. On Saturday morning, he was seen making his way to Carrington before heading to the game against Crystal Palace, which they would lose 1-0.
Now that the football player has returned to his team, attorneys for Cavallin have released a statement on her behalf. The statement continues, “Gabriela Cavallin’s attorneys notify that the offenses committed by the player are currently being investigated by the Manchester Police and also the Brazilian Police, and as a result, we believe that he will soon be transported to court, where he will have to face a trial.
According to us, “it seems obvious that fallacies would be created with the intention of the team bringing him back to training.”
After realizing that Antony had not been detained, arrested, or charged, United decided to reinstate him to the team. The winger’s choice to talk to GMP was entirely on his own accord.
“Since allegations were first made in June, Antony has cooperated with police inquiries in both Brazil and the UK, and he continues to do so,” the club stated in a statement.
