In the Premier League, Wolves beat Manchester City 2-1 at Molineux. Pep Guardiola thought his team wasn’t at their best during the game.
When Manchester City lost 2-1 at Molineux, Pep Guardiola thought that Ruben Dias and Mateo Kovacic should run at the Wolves defense to make things harder for them.
Wolves were very determined and protected deep, making it hard for Chelsea to make chances. City had few moments in front of goal, and Julian Alvarez needed a 22-yard free kick to equalize.
But an own goal by Dias put the home team ahead, and Hwang Hee-chan scored after halftime to make it 2-0. City never looked like they would be able to get back into the game after that.
Pep Guardiola, who couldn’t be on the field for the loss because he got three yellow cards, said that his team’s attack wasn’t as fluid as normal because they didn’t follow the right steps for going after a 5-4-1 team.
