In the World Open final in Yushan, China, Trump will compete against Ding Junhui.
Trump, the reigning winner of the World Open, defeated Jackson Page, ranked 52, 6-2, to secure his spot in Sunday’s championship match.
Ding of China defeated Neil Robertson 6-5, overcoming the odds twice to reach his semi-final.
The two will face off in a competitive final for the first time since Ding prevailed 8-5 in the 2014 German Masters.
Trump opened out with a break of 122 in the first semi-final, but Page of Wales, competing in his first-ever semi-final at a ranking tournament, demonstrated that he could push the Englishman.
At 2-2, they were tied, but Trump took over.

Trump, ranked second in the world, has advanced to consecutive World Open finals after winning the most recent tournament in 2019.
In a thrilling match in the second semi-final, Australian world number 15 Robertson and world number 9 Ding exchanged breaks of over 100 (118 and 128).
In the last frame, Ding overcame deficits of 4-1 and 5-4. Similar to Trump, Ding has only won the World Open once, in 2017.
Before the World Championships begin in Sheffield next month, Trump will be going for his fifth championship of the year in Sunday’s final.
