Thomas Partey and Bukayo Saka both start in Arsenal’s expected starting lineup against Manchester City.

Arsenal’s practise week hasn’t quite gone as planned. Prior to failing to take off in their 2-1 Champions League loss to Lens on Tuesday, the Gunners’ aircraft to France was delayed by four hours on Monday.

The fact that Bukayo Saka limped off during the game may have been even worse. There is no worse time than now. In a perfect world, Mikel Arteta would have liked his star player to be in peak condition for the match against Manchester City, the final Premier League powerhouse that Arsenal has yet to defeat.

The decision of whether or not to play him is just one of the selection dilemmas the Spaniard must deal with before this potentially pivotal matchup at the top of the table.
