Wilde’s return to music comes after a period dedicated to her passion for gardening, during which she achieved significant recognition, including a Gold award at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show in 2005. Her reemergence into the music industry was sparked by a performance at a village fete in Hertfordshire, where she sang ABBA songs and her own hit, “Kids in America.” The enthusiastic response from the audience reignited her passion for performing, leading to the development of the new album and upcoming tour.

Collaborating closely with her brother, Ricky Wilde, who has been a consistent partner in her musical endeavors since “Kids in America,” and her niece, Scarlett Wilde, Kim has crafted Closer to resonate with both longtime fans and new listeners. The album will be available in various formats, including CD, limited edition white vinyl, and black vinyl, along with exclusive merchandise.

As Wilde prepares to embark on this new chapter, she reflects on her journey with a sense of fulfillment and excitement. In interviews, she has expressed that life feels more settled now, and she approaches her music with renewed enthusiasm. Her return is not just a comeback but a continuation of a vibrant career that has evolved over decades, adapting to the changing landscapes of the music industry while staying true to her artistic roots.
