Signing a new deal keeps Marko in Formula One.

A new agreement has been signed by Dr. Helmut Marko and the owners of Red Bull’s two Formula 1 teams.

There had been rumours last year that Marko, 80, was having a falling out with Christian Horner and might be ending his involvement, even though Max Verstappen had expressed his unambiguous support.

However, according to the Salzburger Nachrichten, Marko has inked a new contract.

Marko declared, “The new contract will be valid until the end of 2026.”

He added that “everything is continuing as planned” and that the discussions with Red Bull executives had concluded “positively” in an interview with the newspaper Osterreich.

Marko now intends to participate in every Grand Prix in 2024.

The Austrian says, “Yes, but that’s not stressful for me.” It would have been hard if I had said, ‘What’s coming up for me is crazy.'”

However, I tell myself, ‘I look forward to the tip to Melbourne; Australia is beautiful.'” I work for Red Bull and enjoy my job from Friday evenings to Sunday evenings.”
