Hauser now has a record for the Celtics after his 23-point outburst on 7 of 8 shooting from beyond the arc on Saturday. In the last three games, he has made the most threes in a single stretch of time in Boston history—20.

Better still? Jayson Tatum, 19, was the previous record holder, and he recently smashed it in January.

Regarding the accomplishment, Joe Mazzulla stated, “I think it’s just a comfort level knowing that his teammates are looking for him.” I believe that to be the true nature of things. The majority of his three-pointers are excellent passes that go into the hoop in perfect timing. Thus, I believe that all he actually knows is that degree of comfort.

“The guys have improved their grasp of how to use Sam as a weapon, whether it’s to open him up or to use him as a 2-on-1 decoy,” Mazzulla remarked. He can naturally create indecisions while also balancing the floor with spacing. We therefore don’t run many plays for him, but the guys have mastered the use of him as a weapon.

Hauser spoke with reporters during his heated night, echoing that sentiment.
