Reacting to his and Steffi Graf’s 21st wedding anniversary, Andre Agassi

ā€¸Reactions on Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf’s 21st wedding anniversary have been made by the tennis great. Twenty-one years ago on October 22nd, two of the best tennis players made the decision to get married.On October 26, 2001, Graf gave birth to their first child, Jaden Gil, and two years later, their daughter, Jaz Elle. Agassi and Graf are still happily wed, residing in Las Vegas and actively involved in charitable endeavors.

The USTA wished the couple on Twitter on their 21st wedding anniversary, calling them a “power couple.” They posted a photo of Graf and Agassi at the 2006 US Open along with the following message:

When Steffi Graf won the 1988 Olympic gold medal and all four Majors, she became the first tennis player in history to accomplish the Golden Slam. In a previous interview, the German expressed her reflections on this and admitted that she had not realized the importance of the event, but that she had since come to value its uniqueness.

In the same interview, Steffi Graf was asked if she could think of a particular match that she saw as the high point of her career. In response, she mentioned winning the 1999 French Open final over Martina Hingis.

“I had recovered from knee surgery approximately a year and a half before to then. It was really tough for (me) to return to the sport. (I) honestly didn’t think I would be returning from my surgery. My knee had reconstructive surgery. When I arrived at the French Open, nobody really expected me to do well. I had trouble in the past with clay-court competitions,” Steffi Graf remarked.
