According to a source, Newcastle United has made Emile Smith Rowe a target for the January transfer season.
The Northern Echo’s Scott Wilson says that Newcastle United’s ownership group is scheduled to meet shortly to discuss their January transfer plans, and Emile Smith Rowe of Arsenal has surfaced as an early contender.
Before the end of the international break, the Newcastle owners intend to meet, with team manager Eddie Howe attending as well.
Given that Newcastle committed to signing players for about £150 million during the summer transfer window, it seems unlikely that they will have room for significant additions in January.
However, Smith Rowe has already been brought up as a possible target in internal discussions.
