NBA Fans Are Astonished to See That Draymond Green Moved Up the All-Time Leaderboard, Passing Larry Bird
Draymond Green is progressing rapidly.
In the Golden State Warriors’ 125-90 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday at Chase Center, the 34-year-old made two three-pointers, bringing his career total to 650 threes.
This indicates that Green, who is most recognized for his playmaking skills and fierce defense, has surpassed Boston Celtics great Larry Bird on the all-time three-point list.
When the NBA first used three-pointers in 1979–1980, Bird was a rookie. He concluded his career with 649 three-pointers on 1,727 tries (37.6%). Twice, with 82 made three-pointers in 1985–86 and 90 in 1986–87, he topped the league in this category.
Green averages 2.6 attempts per game and has a lifetime 32% shooting percentage from deep. Out of his 13 seasons, Bird only attempted at least 2.6 three-pointers a game in five of them.
This statistic, which was brought up in a Bleacher Report piece on Thursday, confused some NBA fans:
