Mikel Arteta is pushed to alter Gabriel Jesus significantly after a demand from Brazil surfaced.

With injuries to Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, and Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus has played on the wing in his previous three Arsenal games.

Gabriel Jesus has disclosed that Mikel Arteta, 26, should be used as a striker more frequently by Brazil’s manager Fernando Diniz. In his last three games for the Gunners, the Brazil international has been used on the wing.

Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard, and Gabriel Martinelli’s injuries have compelled Arteta to switch up his attack in recent weeks. Jesus arrived at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal’s new main striker, although he can cover all offensive positions thanks to his versatility.

This season, in nine appearances across all competitions, the Brazilian forward has scored three goals, all of which have come while he has played as a striker. Ivan Toney, a star player for Brentford, is reportedly a target for the Gunners in January.
