Finally, Arsenal announced their lineup and starting XI against Manchester City.

Arsenal defeated Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park and Nottingham Forest at home to advance to the third Premier League matchday with a perfect record.

After a late Forest goal on the first day and Takehiro Tomiyasu’s red card despite a slim 1-0 lead at Palace, there were concerns in both games, but the Gunners prevailed.

The Gunners should ideally start increasing their goal differential with Fulham’s visit. Last week, Fulham was soundly defeated by Brentford at home. Tim Ream is now suspended following a contentious red card decision.

Although the visitors may be obliged to make changes, Mikel Arteta should be considering rotation given the kind of team he has available. Additionally, with Gabriel Jesus’s reappearance, his options have now become much more diversified.

The Brazilian might be a contender after returning to training this week. If his recuperation is so quick that he is assessed to be ready to return, it would be amazing to see him engaged because this is a dream line-up scenario. However, it is important to prioritise his recuperation. If he is not fully recovered, Eddie Nketiah has so far shown himself to be more than capable of filling in.

Bukayo Saka will be the player positioned next to the striker, but there is need for improvement on the left wing. Leandro Trossard didn’t play versus Palace as a substitute. He may therefore enter the match with Fulham completely rested and fired up to earn a starting berth in the lineup before Manchester United’s visit.
