the $12 million will be distributed among several leading organizations working to address homelessness, including Habitat for Humanity, United Way, Covenant House, and HomeFirst Services — with a special focus on hard-hit areas like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Detroit, and Chicago.
“I’ve been blessed beyond measure,” Purdy said in a statement. “This game has given me opportunities I never could have dreamed of. But I never want to lose sight of the real world — of the people out there struggling to find a place to sleep or a hot meal. I want to use this blessing to bless others.”
