Declan Rice, a midfielder for Arsenal, has attributed their Champions League loss to Lens to a lack of precise finishing. Mikel Arteta’s team dropped their second matchback in the competition.
Before that match, Arsenal had a lot of self-confidence and wanted to make a statement by winning in France.
They had numerous opportunities to end the game, but they missed them, and they ultimately paid for it as Lens gained confidence and turned the tide.
‘We dropped some big opportunities.
It’s a fantastic finish for both their first goal and the second one we got by making mistakes.
“I thought we completely controlled the game, but they were a tough opponent.” We needed to be vigilant, but there was one last thing missing.
‘Give them credit. They played excellent defence, and some of their centre backs gave outstanding performances.
