Guardiola will strive to control his emotions on the sidelines after receiving three yellow cards this season, a violation of the Premier League’s new policy regarding manager conduct.

For City’s 2-1 loss to Wolves at Molineux, the Catalan was banned from the touchline but was still permitted in the dressing room before and after the game.

After missing two games due to back surgery, Guardiola has managed to accrue yellow cards in three of the six domestic games he has been a part of this season. These three games were against Burnley, Nottingham Forest, and Newcastle.

The 2-0 loss to Wolves on Saturday was one of the most difficult games Ake has had to endure since wearing a City jersey, and he was not ‘happy’ with his performance.

A 2-1 loss to Wolves on Saturday interrupted City’s perfect start to the new Premier League season. It was City’s second setback in a week, following their elimination from the Carabao Cup at the hands of Newcastle on Wednesday. Aside from an early chance for Erling Haaland, the Blues had a hard time creating against a tenacious Wolves defense.

From the very first seconds, the Molineux fans made their displeasure with visiting Brazilian forward Matheus Nunes clear. Pedro Neto scored the winning goal for the home team after intercepting a ball from Mateo Kovacic and going on a superb run.
