Thomas Frank scores a perfect Mohamed Salah point as Liverpool win

Thomas Frank gives his verdict on Brentford’s 3-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank named Mohamed Salah as one of the three best players in world football after he helped Liverpool beat Liverpool 3-0 on Sunday.

Salah scored his 11th and 12th goals of the campaign before Diogo Jota scored as the Reds finished second in the Premier League at Anfield.

Frank praised Liverpool’s 11th goal after the match, which now takes him to 200 goals in English football, 198 of which came as a Reds player.

andquot;Mo Salah gets a lot of praise, but I don’t know if he gets enough praise,andquot; Frank said. andquot;I think in my head at the moment that he is probably the best player in the Premier League. andquot;What level in terms of goals and assists. He has to be one of the best attacking players in the world. Not like the top 10, but the top three.

andquot;What he did and when you have a player of that caliber you know it’s a problem. He can’t score another goal because we don’t defend enough, but the first one is a clear Liverpool attack. We lose it, counterattack, break to Salah and it’s a goal.

andquot;But it is not always everyone’s goal in this situation, only the quality of the player and Liverpool. But I firmly believe that if we replayed this game, we would have scored at least one goal.

andquot;I thought it was a very good football match. I hope everyone had an interesting game. So somehow I am satisfied with the road and the performance was good.

andquot;We came to Anfield knowing that obviously we have to defend well when we spell, but I thought we were brave, aggressive and I liked the approach of the players. It was an open game for spells and not many teams do that at Anfield because we know how good they are at it.

andquot;I know we lost 3-0 to a very good Liverpool team who were close to their A-game, but even so I think that’s because we couldn’t deal with them in the big moments. andquot;

andquot;The chance of Bryan (Mbeumo), of course, we have to take that chance. I think Yoane Wissa had a chance but his touch was bad. We have to avoid the second and third goals. We usually defend the situation even better. The big moments are why we didn’t get anything from a good game. We created the most xG and conceded the lowest at Anfield.andquot;
