Klay Thompson may be one of the best shooters in the NBA, but his attempt to escape when time expired on the Warriors and#039; Wednesday’s loss to the Nuggets became a joke.
After Nuggets guard Reggie Jackson missed the game-winning free throw, the Warriors went into fight mode and took the ball down the floor to Thompson to avoid a potential game-tying shot before the buzzer sounded. But Thompson didn’t seem to get a good grip on the ball as he tried to float it toward the rim, and the shot missed the basket. Thompson can’t help but throw his hands up in frustration as Denver officially hands Golden State its second loss in three games.
Of course, the loss was certainly not Thompson’s fault. Stephen Curry didn’t get a very good look at the rim until it would have tied the game, and Chris Paul’s pass to Thompson was slightly ahead on the final play, forcing him to rush forward to catch the ball. and shoot quickly. But that didn’t stop fans from having fun at his expense after the rough try.
