Scouts regularly spotted at Elland Road as Leeds United man attracts Liverpool interest – Fabrizio Romano

Leeds United midfielder Archie Gray has become a key target for Liverpool this season, as the 17-year-old becomes a regular scouting mission for the Anfield side.

Leeds’ performances in the Championship this season are starting to gain more and more admiration outside of Elland Road, aiming to put the pressure on the top two heading into the festive period.

A worrying side effect of such a run is that top-flight clubs are taking admiring glances at some of Daniel Farke’s starring players.

Archie Gray to Liverpool?

The Daily Mail reported last week that the Whites’ star youngster Archie Gray has become a key target for Liverpool, reportedly valued between £40-50million by the club.l

Everton and Crystal Palace are also named in the report, with the midfielder currently due to see his contract expire in 2025, ahead of his 18th birthday when he is free to agree a new contract longer than three years at Elland Road.

Fabrizio Romano has now shared further insight into the matter, revealing that the Reds have been regularly scouting the teen this season

Speaking to Caught Offside, Romano said

“Liverpool have sent their scouts to follow Archie Gray multiple times. Not the only club as many teams appreciate him and keep tracking. No bid or concrete negotiation at this stage, but they appreciated hem

Scouts are going to be hot on the tail of Gray all season now, because he hasn’t only shown his quality in midfield for us, but he’s dropped to right-back and done just as well.

He had Bali Mumba shackled virtually all game last time out, and did the same to Stephy Mavididi prior to that too, having thwarted Sam Bell for Bristol City too.
