BREAKING: A question from Erik ten Hag on his job security at Manchester United

After losing to Galatasaray on English soil for the first time in 37 years, Manchester United is off to its worst start to a season in that span.

Despite a second straight home loss, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag feels confident in his position.

United’s 3-2 loss against Galatasaray at Old Trafford marked the first time they have lost six of their first 10 games since the 1986–1987 season.

United are now closer to the relegation zone than the top four in the Premier League table and for the first time in club history have lost their first two Champions League group stage games.

With Ten Hag’s lengthy list of injured players continually growing, Sofyan Amrabat, a midfielder, was once again thrust into the spotlight by starting the Galatasaray game as supplementary left back.

BREAKING: A question from Erik ten Hag on his job security at Manchester United

“There are no excuses,” Ten Hag said. We can’t keep making the same mistakes we’ve been making, even if we do have a little imbalance to the left. We need to step up our performance and start winning more games.

The same errors were made, but I saw a squad that was well linked and had great energy, and they played brilliantly at times, going up 2-0 and taking complete control of the game.

However, all of a sudden, we make a mistake, an error, and football is a game of mistakes, so naturally I need to provide teaching, instructions, and the like on how we handle such events and circumstances.

But that does happen, and we were obviously penalised for it.
