Arsenal has started the 2023–24 Premier League season well, going undefeated in their first eight games in the top division of English football.
They are off to a similar start as they had at the beginning of the previous season, when they finished atop the table for a total of 248 days, but they were unable to win the championship for the first time since 2003–04 as Manchester City added another Premier championship trophy to their collection.
After a successful summer transfer window, Mikel Arteta will be hopeful that the signings of England international Declan Rice, former Chelsea player Kai Havertz, and goalkeeper David Raya can contribute significantly to winning the championship this year.
Arsenal suffered several injuries to start the season, sidelining Gabriel Martinelli, new recruit Jurrien Timber, Leandro Trossard, and Bukayo Saka despite spending £200 million during the transfer window. This can put them under pressure in the approaching January window.
