advanced to the World Masters of Snooker semifinals in Saudi Arabia.

World Masters of Snooker: Judd Trump defeated Shaun Murphy 4-3 after rallying from a 2-0 deficit, while Brecel faced Allen and O’Sullivan faced Trump. Mark Allen defeated Mark Selby 4-3 after leading 3-1; Luca Brecel defeated Ali Carter 4-1.

In the triumph, the Rocket displayed an incredible display, hitting three consecutive hundreds while Higgins failed to pot a single ball during the match.

After winning the first frame with an impressive break of 135 in double fast time, O’Sullivan followed it up with another century break of 129.

A third successive century was eventually scored to end a lengthy third frame.

In other events, there was thrilling action right up to the wire when Mark Allen defeated Mark Selby in the quarterfinals with an incredible comeback win.

After trailing 3-1, Allen won the match by double the black, whereas Selby seemed to breeze through the first several frames.

Selby had gained a 54-point lead in the fifth with a two-frame cushion, but an error allowed Allen to advance with a clearance of 65. In the sixth, Allen even the score by coming in from behind thanks to a missed black.

A tight last frame marked by errors and fouls saw Allen come back from behind once more, assisted by an unlucky green before his incredible game-winning shot.

He commented on Eurosport, “I actually thought the white was going to drop in.” “I thought, ‘No, I’m going for it,’ even though flicking off the black was such an easy shot. I would be happy as long as I obtained a really nice white.”

After falling to world champion Luca Brecel 4-1 in his quarterfinal round, Ali Carter looked unhappy.

Carter’s night fell apart after a late missed brown that he attributed to a scoreboard error, even though it appeared that he was on track to tie the game at 2-2.

“I’m clearing up, I want to get on with it and the scorer’s got the score wrong,” he stated. “Believing I can play anything I want, I’ve stunned up the table.

“I suddenly wonder, ‘have I miscalculated?’ when I glance at the scoreboard. I’ve simply been really thrown off rhythm by it.

“I reasoned that in order to draw, I needed to pot the brown. I’m not sure how it happened, but as I was staring at the blue, the referee announced that I was on 41 and 22 behind, or something like that. I was thrown entirely off by it.”

Carter was displeased as well with the four-hour delay following Selby and Allen’s lengthy contest before his own match began.

Trump Judd came from behind to beat an unlucky Shaun Murphy 4-3. Murphy had opened up with breaks of 126 and 105 to storm into a 2-0 lead but Trump came through a tricky third frame before levelling it with a break of 75 in the fourth.

Murphy nosed back in front and appeared to be heading for the final four as he took a big lead in the sixth frame, only to clip a red and allow Trump a way back in – one that he duly took with break of 69 before he bossed the final frame.
