Football is riddled with replays when laws go wrong, therefore Liverpool have a case.

Replay requests after referee gaffes or controversy are nothing new, but teams’ success does not always follow.

Following the controversy surrounding the offside goal that prevented his team from taking the lead, Jurgen Klopp demanded that Liverpool’s 2-1 loss against Tottenham Hotspur be reviewed.

Despite the Premier League’s statutes permitting such a drastic action as part of its disciplinary and dispute resolution procedures.

There have been varying degrees of success in granting clubs’ requests for replays of games after refereeing or other disputes.
