‎Many people are aware of the Golden State Warriors’ exceptional three-point shooting ability. On the list of all-time 3-pointers made, Stephen Curry is ranked first, and Klay Thompson is attempting to overtake his Splash Bro at number six. We often overlook what Draymond Green is accomplishing when he is not in the 3-point zone since the spotlight is constantly on the two superstars mentioned above. Udonis Haslem and a former New York Knicks player are in disbelief after Green’s two-pointer against the Milwaukee Bucks in the first week of March, which saw him surpass Boston Celtics icon Larry Bird on the all-time list.

When Nate Robinson joined Haslem’s podcast, “The OGs,” a whole episode focused on Green smashing Larry Bird’s record. “How in the hell did Draymond Green pass Larry Bird for the three-point list?” Robinson asked at the outset. Is he really that much of a player than Larry Bird? I was thinking, “Bro, are you serious?” I had to turn around and ask myself, “Dude, how many threes did Draymond actually shoot and make?” The three-time Celtics champion played more games than Green (811 games) with a total of 897 games played.

Bird couldn’t record many three-pointers, though, because he would frequently shoot long 2-pointers during the game. It appears like Green made a good decision in this! Returning to the podcast, Haslem is still of the opinion that this does not diminish Larry Legend, but he is a fan of Green’s work this season.

It doesn’t take away from what Larry Bird has accomplished, Haslem said, but he also said that “Draymond has been one of the best winners to ever play the game.” Throughout the season, Green has come under fire for his egregious fouls, suspensions, and ejections.

But ever since his injury-related return in January, he has been a vital member of the Warriors. Haslem desired to present his flowers to the 2016 DPOY. “He been doing well though,” Haslem stated. I have to give him the credit he deserves. He has been keeping things together ever since he returned. In agreement, Nate Robinson added, “Shoutout to Draymond.” Let’s see if it is sufficient to advance the Warriors to the playoffs. How do you feel?
