Nine players from the San Francisco 49ers, including eight starters, were chosen for the 2024 Pro Bowl Games, which was a league-high number.
On Wednesday, the league released the NFC and AFC rosters. Starting on Thursday, February 1, players from both conferences will compete in skills competitions. On Sunday, February 4, at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, the competitions will conclude with a flag football game. In 2022, the NFL cancelled its full-contact all-star game.
Teams with five or more selections to the Pro Bowl included the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens (seven each), Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles (six each), and Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, and Detroit Lions (five each).
Linebacker Fred Warner, cornerback Charvarius Ward, tight end George Kittle, offensive tackle Trent Williams, defensive end Nick Bosa, defensive lineman Javon Hargrave, quarterback Brock Purdy, and running back Christian McCaffrey were all named to the NFC roster for the 49ers. Williams has been selected to the Pro Bowl 11 times, more than any other active player. Juszczyk is making his eighth Pro Bowl appearance—the most ever for a fullback.
For the first time since Peyton Manning and Kurt Warner were named starters in the 2000 Pro Bowl, Purdy and Tua Tagovailoa of the Dolphins have been named the starting quarterbacks for their respective conferences.

Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald became the first player since 1970 to be selected to the Pro Bowl in each of his first ten seasons. Tyreek Hill of the Dolphins is the first wide receiver to be selected for every Pro Bowl in his first eight seasons of play.
Jason and Travis Kelce have been selected to the Pro Bowl in the same season for the sixth time. After Jason Witten(11) and Tony Gonzalez(14), Travis Kelce was selected for his ninth Pro Bowl, the fewest selections among tight ends.
28 players were selected for the Pro Bowl for the first time, including rookies Devon Witherspoon (Seattle Seahawks), Sam LaPorta (Lions), Marvin Mims (Denver Broncos), and Puka Nacua (Rams).
The collective votes of coaches, players, and fans decided which players should be on the roster. A third of the votes from each group went towards choosing the teams.
Peyton and Eli Manning will be the Pro Bowl Games’ coaches for the second year in a row. Eli will coach the NFC team, while Peyton will coach the AFC team. For the AFC, Ray Lewis will serve as defensive coordinator, and for the NFC, DeMarcus Ware will hold that position.
Last year’s Pro Bowl Games were won by the NFC.
