Ian Wright now believes Chelsea have the two players Liverpool need
Pundit Ian Wright has claimed that Chelsea have a number of first-choice players that Premier League rivals Liverpool could really do with.
He said on the “Kelly and Wrighty Show” that a midfielder like Moises Caicedo or Romeo Lavia is a player who would make them a much more complete unit behind their giant attack.
Chelsea and Liverpool have been involved in several key transfer battles this summer, although the Blues have seemed to come out on top in all of them.

Despite a bigger offer from the Reds, Caicedo decided to commit his future to Chelsea but did not want to travel to Anfield for treatment.
He later joined in a club-record deal, although he was not the last midfield addition of the summer. Lavia, who at one point also looked set to join Liverpool, has arrived at Stamford Bridge but is still playing through injury.

Wright claimed that both additions would be absolutely huge for Jurgen Klopp’s men and they really could do both.

He said: “If you look at them, they have Salah, Nunez, Gakpo, Jota and Diaz. They have 35 goals between them. That’s what’s happening. “Midfield is something that will probably only be tried for the player they said they needed, Caicedo they tried, or Lavia.”

There is excitement over the former Southampton man’s return from injury, which could happen in the coming weeks.
He is already back on the pitch and a return to first team training is imminent.
Caicedo, meanwhile, has established himself as first choice for Mauricio Pochettino this season, having already formed a strong partnership with Enzo Fernandez.
