The Mo Salah factor could prevent Liverpool from signing a ‘world class’ striker
Liverpool may have trouble signing Kylian Mbappe because of Mohamed Salah.
This is according to SPORT, who have claimed AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho could block Liverpool from signing the Paris Saint-Germain striker.
So what’s the news about Liverpool, Kylian Mbappe and Mohamed Salah?
What is the story? According to SPORT magazine, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez may give up on his pursuit of Kylian Mbappe.
Madrid have long wanted to sign Mbappe, who is under contract with Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.
SPORT claimed Liverpool were “always aware” of the French striker’s situation with Madrid and could try to sign the 24-year-old on a free transfer in the summer of 2024.
If Mbappe does not sign for Madrid, Liverpool are “the club best placed to sign the French forward”.

But Liverpool face a potential problem in signing the 24-year-old, who French manager Didier Deschamps describes as a “world-class” player. If the current head coach of AS Roma Jose Mourinho becomes the new manager of Al Ittihad, according to SPORT, Mohamed Salah may not join the Saudi Arabian club.
Salah worked with Mourinho at Chelsea and is said to not have a great relationship with the former Manchester United manager.
Liverpool will sign Mbappe if they have to sell Salah and raise money in the summer of 2024, according to a report.

When Mbappe becomes a free agent in the summer of 2024, Liverpool will simply have to try and sign him. They have to.
Mbappe is a “generational talent” and the Reds should at least try to convince him to move to Anfield.
The French forward has scored 10 goals and provided one assist in nine Ligue 1 games for PSG this season and two goals in four UEFA Champions League games.
