CONGRATULATIONS: Chase Sexton Crowned Greatest Racer of All Time, Receives Prestigious Global Motorsports Excellence Award
April 12, 2025 — Anaheim, CA
The world of motorsports witnessed history on Friday night as Chase Sexton was officially recognized as the Greatest Racer of All Time, receiving the esteemed Global Motorsports Excellence Award at a glamorous ceremony in Anaheim, California. The award, regarded as the highest individual honor in global racing, celebrates a career defined by dominance, dedication, and undeniable influence.
At just 25 years old, Sexton has accomplished what few thought possible — outpacing legends across Supercross, Motocross, and beyond to become the youngest recipient of the prestigious award. Presented by the International Motorsports Federation (IMF), the accolade honors individuals who have left a lasting mark on the sport, both in competition and in culture.
“I never set out to be the greatest — I just wanted to be the best I could be,” Sexton said in an emotional acceptance speech. “To stand here tonight and receive this award… it’s surreal. This is a victory not just for me, but for my family, my team, and every fan who believed in me.”
A Trailblazing Career
Sexton’s journey began in La Moille, Illinois, where he first climbed onto a dirt bike as a child. His rise through the amateur ranks was swift and impressive, but it was his transition to the professional circuit that truly turned heads. By 2023, Sexton had already clinched his first Supercross title and quickly followed it up with multiple Motocross championships.
Known for his smooth riding style, pinpoint accuracy, and mental toughness, Sexton became a force in every race he entered. His 2024 season was particularly historic — sweeping major events and helping elevate Supercross into global mainstream viewership.
But Sexton’s impact hasn’t been limited to the track. With a $600 million media partnership with ESPN signed earlier this year, he’s launched Throttle Media, a new global platform aimed at telling untold stories within motorsports and inspiring the next generation.
“He’s redefining what it means to be a racer,” said Ricky Carmichael, himself a legend in the sport. “What Chase is doing — competitively and culturally — we’ve never seen before.”
Star-Studded Tributes
The award ceremony featured tributes from top athletes across sports, including NASCAR star Kyle Larson, MotoGP’s Marc Márquez, and even NBA and NFL players who’ve become fans of Sexton’s fearless attitude and work ethic. Video montages highlighted some of his most iconic moments, including his breathtaking final-lap pass in Daytona 2024 and his emotional championship celebration in Anaheim.
“Chase Sexton didn’t just race — he inspired,” said IMF President Renzo Delgado. “He brought heart, vision, and purpose to a sport that now stands taller because of him.”
The Legacy Continues
While honored for his past, Sexton made it clear his story is far from over. With the 2025 Supercross season in full swing and media projects on the horizon, he’s balancing speed, storytelling, and legacy-building.
“This is a milestone,” he said. “But the journey continues.”
Chase Sexton — a champion, a visionary, and now, officially, the greatest of all time.
